I just made my best pot roast yet.

Unfortunately, it didn’t dawn upon me to take pics. I’ll do it again within a week or so and document it with pics.

I took 4 potatoes, peeled and chopped them, and a pound of baby carrots, and threw them in the crock pot. Threw a few chunks of unpeeled garlic in with them. Added sea salt and fresh ground pepper, basil, and thyme. Added water and cooked for ~12 hours. The results were fantastic, but next time will be better.

Next time I’m going to flour and brown it, and save the scrapings to make a gravy, and I’m going to add french onion soup mix to the crock pot.

If you don’t have a crock pot, do yourself a favor and pick one up, even if it’s a cheap one.
